I am a physics professor at the Third Institute of Physics (Biophysics) of the Faculty of Physics of the Georg August University in Göttingen, and founding Editor-in-Chief of the journal Biophysical Reports of the Biophysical Society. Starting from January 2021, my research is funded for five years by an Advanced Grant of the European Research Council (ERC). My research is focused on Single Molecule Spectroscopy and Super-resolution Microscopy, from basic aspects to biophysical applications. However, the scope of my interests is much wider, and you may find on these pages resources for a broad range of topics, from crystallography, hydrodynamics, electrodynamics, to general relativity.
