We celebrate the 150th anniversary of the discovery of the Periodic Table of Elements by
Dmitri Mendeleev
(1834 - 1907). It is one the greatest discoveries of all time, and it has fundamentally changed our understanding of Chemistry. And as it is with all great discoveries, it is based on principles that became fully clear only later, with the development of Quantum Physics. The above variant of the Periodic Table is designed by following the publication "A three-dimensional periodic table" by Y. Magarshak & J. Malinsky in
Nature
360, 114-115 (1992).
